Customized punched aluminum panels – Australia

Project Introduction

September 1^st, 2022, John from Australia sent us an inquiry for customized punched aluminum panels for home use and shared some draft drawings showing us how the panels look like, but the pattern remained unclear.

 

After quick and effective communication for both sides, we settled down all issues including the customized pattern called Waitara Pattern, and started production which took only eight days.

 

Due to some reasons, the panels were not installed until this September. But after installation, John said he was very satisfied with the panels no matter for the quality or for the visual effect the panels showed, and sent us some photos.

 

Though this project took one year, both of us kept an eye on it and thus we had a good result.

 

Details of the panels:

 

• Color: Black
• Finish: powder coating
• Material: Aluminum alloy 1100 H24
• Thickness: 3.0 mm
• Type: customized perforated panels used for home decoration

Problems and solutions:

Problems:

 

1. Deformation due to insufficient gap between two customized rectangular holes.

2. Deformation for holes due to bending in the middle of the panel.

 

3. There are punching marks at the back due to continuous punching with a small punching mold.

 

Solutions：

 

• Change the gap from 5 mm to 10 mm.

• Leaving 15 mm blank space for both sides from the middle line.

• Use the machine to do grinding to make the marks smooth and won’t affect the visual effect at the back.
