Does aluminium rust if left outside?

Aluminium does not rust like iron and steel. It forms a protective oxide layer when exposed to air that prevents further corrosion. Egter, certain factors such as extreme pH levels, saltwater, acids, and alkaline solutions can still cause corrosion. Regular inspection and maintenance are important to detect and prevent issues. Untreated aluminium has good natural corrosion resistance but is not completely immune to rusting.
